CLYDE COAST & GARNOCK VALLEY CREMATORIUM CONTINUES SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES WITH MUCH NEEDED DONATIONS
Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium has made much-needed donations to local charities who provide important care and support within our local communities.
Dalry and Largs Men’s Sheds have each received £310 – funds that have been gratefully collected through the general charity boxes located within the crematorium and which will help these 2 important local charities continue to support men’s health and wellbeing within our communities.
Commenting on the latest charity donations, Lynsey Finnie, Crematorium Manager said:
“We are so thankful to be able to support the Men’s Sheds with these much-needed donations. The Sheds are truly inspirational places and provide camaraderie and friendship for men who may otherwise feel a little isolated. The hive of industry within the Sheds is remarkable and the items they produce are practical and beautiful.
Our heartfelt thanks go to each and every person who left a donation following a service at the Crematorium when the bereaved family hadn’t requested a collection in support of any particular good cause.
It is very important to us that the donations we make directly benefit local families, and during this cost-of-living crisis, it is especially important that smaller charities are recognised for the vitally important role that they play within our communities.
There are currently 136 Men’s Sheds operating across Scotland, with a further 66 Sheds in development. I would encourage men of all ages and skillsets to seek out their local shed and join this joyous movement.
Care, Kindness, Empathy and Community is at the heart of everything we do here at the Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium, and we know that the local charities we are supporting share our commitment and our values.’’
